• When will my order arrive?

Normally most orders will ship out under our 48 hour guarantee. See this page for more details on when this applies. Depending on the order size, you may get several different shipping option speeds. This is a shipping estimate and is not guaranteed unless you place a special rush order. Note this shipping speed applies after the order ships. If there are issues with the files, your order may be delayed.

  • What are the options for Picture Proof / Insurance at check out?

Picture Proof – This $3.50 option gives you a glimpse of your product before we ship it out. This is useful in case you notice something about your order that you’d like to change, we can fix the problem here and save you from having to pay for shipping twice! If you include this service in your order, the picture proof will be sent on the guaranteed turnaround date. Please review our turnaround time for more information. We are responsible for making sure your picture proof is sent to you on that date, and you are responsible for responding with a “good to go” or “not good to go” response. Keep in mind that choosing the picture proof option could push your ship out date to a later date since we need to await your response. If you have questions on this service, you may contact us.

Insurance – This is package insurance regarding shipping. This service is $4.99 and guarantees that if your package is lost or damaged, that we will reprint the order and ship to you for free.  If you receive your items and they are damaged, please contact us and send pictures of your damaged items. If part of your order is damaged, we will only reprint the damaged parts, not the full order. Shipping with any carrier, there is always the possibility of error – this is out of our hands and is the responsibility of the carrier. Package insurance guarantees that we will follow up with the service that your package is shipped with, and get you the reprinted parts that you need.

  • Can I change/cancel my order?

If you need to change the quantities or parts in an order, send us an email. If the order is not shipped, we can probably change it for you. There will be a $5 charge in addition to the cost of the items being added. If you want to place another order, we can combine the orders and you can save shipping costs. To maintain our 48 hour guarantee, we begin processing your order very soon after it is submitted, and any files that you submitted may be printed as is, and may not be available to be changed. Email us right away if you have changes / file fixes needed with your order!
Any files you upload may be printed as is. If the files are not formatted correctly, the final product may be printed incorrectly. We try to check the files as they come in, but we may not catch all errors. Please double check your files before uploading, and read all formatting pages before uploading!

  • Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship Worldwide. You can check the shipping costs in the cart.

  • Can I have you rush an order?

Yes, just send us an email, and we can work it out. Contact Page

  • Do you charge tax?

No tax is charged, unless you are in Washington State.

  • Why do I get a File is Not Uploaded error message?

There are three reasons this can occur. First, you simply did not upload a file for a product you paid to be printed. Second, there are multiple links to upload a file, and you only have one file to upload. This commonly occurs with boxes if you are only printing the top. Lastly, the file you attempted to upload is not a pdf, png, of jpeg format  (certain pages require certain types of files). The site will not allow any other kind of file to be successfully uploaded.

  • I have files that are too large to upload, how can I get them to you?

You can send us a dropbox link to the files (get a dropbox account free here), or you can use sendspace to send us the files (send to: Jeremy@printplaygames.com). You can send through the order without files, just mention in the order notes that you’ve sent files separately.

  • The colors on the print don’t look like the colors on my screen.

Colors on your screen will be different than printed materials. Your monitor is most likely not color calibrated and digital printing always has some shift based on the printer used. The colors in print will never be the same as on screen, especially the brightness (because the screen is a light source and the paper isn’t). If your order is over $100, feel free to contact us, and we can send you a proof or a take a picture of the first set out if the colors need to be more exact.

  • Where can I go to find out more information on games I can order through the website?

There are links to Board Game Geek, (the number one site for board games!) on each game page, so you can go check out reviews, pictures, files, and more.  Please make sure you understand the game and what comes with the order.

  • Can I get a quote for a custom project or an unpublished game?

Yes please feel free to contact us for custom projects and quotes.  To get your quote, we will need all printed files as well as a description of what each file is.  Please also include the shipping information.  Quotes are subject to change after 30 days.

  • I don’t know how to create and format files for printing. Can you do this for me? 

Unfortunately, we cannot create files for your order.  There is a wonderful community of graphic artists and designers that will be much better suited to help you create files.  Cole Munro-Chitty colemunrochitty@gmail.com is a great designer, who is familiar with our production methods.
Also, check out the Graphic Design forum on BGG.  You can also dive into the world of design yourself.    GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/) and Paint.net (http://www.getpaint.net/index.html) are both great free image manipulation programs.  We provide .jpg, .pdf, and .psd template files to help you in the design process.

  • I have files that are ready for printing, but I do not have the time to fit them to your templates.  Can you help me?

  • Do you proof check the files before you print them?

We do not double check files. If you have questions regarding formatting (click here). Make sure you pay attention to how we need things formatted, especially regarding sizing, bleed, orientation. You are responsible for any files that you submit to us. If they are formatted wrong, this will reflect in the printing.

  • Do you offer phone support?

  • Do you have a local pick-up option?

Yes we do! If you live in the Vancouver, WA or Portland, OR area you are welcome to pick up your order from our shop. We will let you know as soon as your game is ready for pickup. Local pickup orders will be available for pickup the day after they would normally ship. Example: Your order would normally ship on Tuesday. Your order will be available for pickup any time the next business day.

  • What is chipboard?

Our chipboard is 100% recycled paper material. It is 1.5mm thick and white on both sides.

  • Why don’t you allow pdf uploads for some items?

When certain programs (Indesign/Photoshop/other 3rd party editing tools) export to pdf, they sometimes have various layers which might show up fine in your pdf viewer, but might show up different on another pdf viewer, or more especially in the processing engine on the printer. This might lead to layers being moved to the wrong section or not showing up. So submitting as a single layer png or jpg will remove that potential issue.

  • Where are your products made?

All printed products from Print & Play are printed locally in Washington or here in the USA. Plastic + Wood game parts may come from overseas. Products from our parent company Admagic are made both in the US and abroad.

  • Can I get your logo for my website / advertising / promotions? 

Download our logo for use on promotional material that we have approved here.

  • How is my order packaged? 

We will normally stick game parts and pieces inside of boxes. If it’s obvious, we can try to separate out the components by game if you buy multiple games. In general, we stick cards in tuckboxes if it’s very clear what cards go in what tuckboxes. We will attempt to bag pieces or cards together by type or by game if possible. If it is very clear that you are ordering multiple games (ie, everything is in qty of 10), then we usually bag each game up with it’s own set of pieces. However, we do not guarantee that everything will be sorted exactly how you want! If you order a bunch of blank parts, we will sort by each type, but not by sheet. Cards do not come sorted any particular way, if you need them sorted, let us know! If you need the games/cards/pieces bagged or sorted in a particular way, add that info to the Order Notes section or email us after you place your order. Diecuts are prepunched, so your game is ready to play out of the box!
